How we work

Learning Dreams volunteers meet with parents weekly over a long period of time, introducing them to the resources they need to accomplish their dreams. Volunteers connect with the institutions and businesses in the participant's community to seek out opportunities for families that are necessary to achieving their dreams.

By helping families find their passions in life, Learning Dreams also strengthens connections between their children. Our model proves that once a parent is actively involved in attaining their life goals, they are more likely to engage in learning with their children, extended family and community.

Learning Dreams volunteers are also trained to work with children, helping them choose and actively seek out their own dreams.
